Titan IVB was launched from Space Launch Complex 4 at 3:45 PM on
Thursday, August 17.
Hear the sound of the Titan IVB launch. 
Exhaust has nearly engulfed the top
of Space Launch Complex 4 East.
The rocket has rolled to align
itself with the desired departure heading.
The sun glints off the solid fuel
boosters.
The booster climbs away from South
Vandenberg.
The solid fuel boosters burn out.
The unidentified National Reconnaissance Office satellite was successfully deployed from the upper stage of the Titan IVB. Aviation Week magazine says it is a Lacrosse radar reconnaissance satellite.
